Novel use of del.icio.us
I was reading Steve Rubel's Micro Persuasion blog last week and noticed he's found a novel way to use del.icio.us. He writes:
"Just post anything you think I would be interested in linking to under the “for:steverubel” tag. I check this feed more often than I read email pitches. The reason is that when I am emailing I am all about communicating. When I am feed reading, I am in blogging mode."
I decided to try telling him about the TagMan game via this method and tagged the TagMan FAQ with the for:steverubel tag on del.icio.us. Within a few hours, he wrote a post called Play Games with Flickr, Squidoo, del.icio.us or Technorati Tags including a screenshot of the game. I'm not sure which was more intriguing: that a bunch of people were playing the game or that this novel use of a web 2.0 site had worked.
Technorati tags: technorati, flickr, steve rubel, web2.0, web 2.0, tags, for:steverubel, del.icio.us, squidoo
