SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION
An effective SEO (search engine optimization) solution must begin
with web log analysis and
keyword research. Once we've established a baseline
of internet traffic and search engine activity from your web logs and found the best
keywords to use, we determine an SEO strategy for your web site.
The goal of search engine optimization is to improve your web site placement in free
search results, sometimes referred to as natural or algorithmic or organic search listings.
To achieve this goal, we need to make structural changes to your web pages. Sometimes,
it's simply a matter of changing the titles of various web pages. Other times, we might
recommend a whole section of a web site be redesigned to focus pages on specific keywords.
We'll assess your site and the high value keywords we've researched to see what needs to be done.
In addition to modifying the content of pages on your web site, we'll need to generate more
links to your site. Search engines look at the quality and quantity of links to your site.
A site with links from respected web sites will rank high in search results, assuming the pages
on that site are search engine friendly (optimized). We'll find sites to link to your site,
sometimes for free and sometimes for a fee. For example, we recommend listing for $299/yr in the
Yahoo Directory. We'll find the right category for you and will submit a listing chock full
of high quality keywords. Having a link from a top quality site like Yahoo will dramatically
improve your search engine rankings.

Once your site is optimized, we'll submit it to the major search engines. In many cases,
you do not need to do this as the search engines will find your site if quality sites link
to your site. Be wary of companies that offer to submit your site to thousands or even just
hundreds of search engines. There are only a handful that really matter. We'll look at your
web logs and will know which have found your site. Those that have not, we'll inform them
about your optimized site.
