I'm not sure what to make of this situation. It certainly is embarrassing for MIT and humiliating for Marilee Jones. However, it sounds like she did a fine job for more than a quarter century without a college degree.
It's a pity this couldn't have been dealt with earlier in her career. I wonder why this information became public now, all these years after the fact.
